Earnest is a modern adaptation by Amanda Pyle, originally written as The Importance Of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. Earnest is a fast-paced comedy about two young men who create fake identities to escape social obligations and pursue romance. Set in present-day New York and the Hamptons, the play satirizes society, love, and honesty as the characters’ lies spiral into confusion before the truth is humorously revealed.
